I purchased two of these cameras to replace a pair of Yi wireless cameras that had been causing frequent network dropouts. Opting for POE cameras provided the reliability I needed. After using them for two months, I can confidently say that these cameras are exceptionally reliable, deliver excellent performance, and have endured heavy storms without any issues. While I would rate them 5 stars if the software were more user-friendly, overall they have been a solid investment.

1. Build quality is outstanding, with all-metal construction that feels sturdy and durable. Although the lack of 360-degree rotation on the ballpoint mounting was initially concerning, the wide-angle view compensates for this limitation, allowing me to achieve the desired coverage. Despite enduring heavy rains and storms, the cameras have remained watertight.

2. Performance is impressive, with the cameras delivering very good picture quality in HD mode, although not quite matching the quality of the Yi cameras I previously owned. Nevertheless, the images are clear enough for reading license plates. The POE technology ensures a reliable connection, with the cameras automatically reconnecting after power disruptions or router reboots.

3. Customer service is exemplary, with responsive support available during Houston business hours. Despite the technicians likely being located in India, they are patient and efficient. When one of my cameras encountered an issue with recording to the SD card, they resolved it remotely and provided assistance in optimizing settings for my specific needs.

4. Software setup is straightforward using the iPhone app, but navigating through the configuration settings can be challenging. There is a lack of guidance on selecting settings to minimize false motion detections. However, the tech support team is helpful in addressing these issues through trial and error. One useful feature is the masking option, which allows users to exclude specific areas from motion detection to avoid false positives, such as plants or bushes.

In conclusion, these outdoor cameras excel in reliability and performance, despite the user interface of the configuration software being less than intuitive. However, the excellent support from the tech department compensates for this drawback, making these cameras a commendable choice.

I am completely satisfied with this camera. It's installed outside to monitor my backyard, and having previously purchased different OHWOAI 1080P cameras, this 4K one truly stands out in terms of quality, price, ease of setup, and ease of use. OHWOAI has definitely won me over for my future camera setups.

Quality:

Camera: The build quality is impressive, with sturdy materials used. Although I'm not a fan of the plastic inside the metal mounting base, the installation process, especially with the dome cameras, was seamless. I particularly appreciate the snap retainer feature, which securely holds the camera in place once adjusted. While the plastic clips seem durable, I'd advise caution as applying excessive force could potentially cause breakage.

Video: For the price, the video quality of this camera exceeds expectations. The image is incredibly crisp, and the viewing angle strikes a perfect balance. While there's some graininess when fully zoomed in, overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality. It's capable of capturing license plates within roughly 50 feet when in direct focus. The night vision performance is superb, with the IR distance effectively lighting up the entire area without any black spots. The recording at 25 FPS is a significant advantage compared to other brands recording at 15FPS, particularly for capturing moving objects.

Sound: The audio quality is excellent, with the microphone being very sensitive.

Remote Viewing: Setting up remote viewing is a breeze with the OHWOAI app and the QR code provided on the camera. It's important to ensure that your internet connection is properly set up beforehand. While DHCP works fine, assigning a static IP can help avoid connection issues. It's worth noting that this is a high-resolution system and may consume considerable bandwidth for remote viewing at the highest resolution. The camera app boasts a modern interface that's intuitive and easy to navigate.

Setup: The setup process is straightforward and hassle-free. Whether you're a beginner or experienced user, getting the camera up and running is a simple task.

This camera performs exceptionally well. Installation was straightforward, with the most challenging aspect being the Ethernet cable routing. Powering it through POE simplifies setup. The camera delivers excellent quality footage. I highly recommend configuring settings either through the camera's web interface or the NVR, as the app's motion settings lack sufficient options. It's important not to inadvertently save motion settings through the app, as it will override settings configured elsewhere. This is my main gripe, although it's not directly related to the camera itself. Overall, the camera is durable and of high quality, and I highly recommend it, especially when paired with an NVR.

I'm pleased to report that this camera continues to perform admirably. Contrary to some reviews, it functions perfectly well in cold weather conditions—I reside in the northern US and have experienced no issues even during snowy and subzero temperatures.

Recently, I acquired another camera and have been using it alongside the existing ones. The night vision capabilities are impressive, and I haven't encountered any issues with the cameras.

Summary: These cameras are good overall but plagued by poor firmware and app quality, making them more suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

I've been using two of these cameras for about 18 months now. Despite some initial setup issues, I managed to configure them to upload still images to an FTP server. However, the app, both on phone and browser, is subpar and filled with spyware, so I avoid using it altogether. I don't utilize the video mode due to a crucial limitation: upload speed. If image or video uploads take too long, they fail silently without any error warning. This could be mitigated by using an on-site NVR to upload to a remote server and isolate the cameras from accessing the internet, considering their tendency to call home to China frequently.

Another drawback is that upon restart, the cameras delete all old images on the FTP server. The company's solution to this is to disable image deletion, which is ineffective. Additionally, you can't specify a file name for uploads, requiring the use of a PHP script to serve the latest image on a webpage. Port 21 is required for FTP uploads, necessitating a separate account for camera use.

For my purposes (periodic still image uploads), they suffice. The image quality is surprisingly good for the price, and the IR night mode works decently up to 30 feet. Beyond that, additional IR lighting is needed. Pairing these cameras with a DIY NVR on a dedicated network could yield satisfactory results, but using the company's apps is not recommended.

It's worth noting that these cameras do not include a POE injector, requiring a separate purchase. I opted for a POE injector to simplify wiring. Despite exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation, they've held up well, with the only significant issue being a spider building a web in front of one camera.

I've owned multiple security cameras from the brand that starts with anR" and ends withlink." However, after replacing one of them with this OHWOAI camera, I'm convinced that I'll be transitioning to OHWOAI entirely over the next few months. The camera's quality, features, and overall performance simply outshine those of the other brand.
