The camera can only be connected to the NVR to work, because the camera needs the NVR to provide power. The model cannot provide power to the camera.

The standard working temperature of the camera is -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit; but when the camera works, it sends out heat, so it can work at a bit lower temperature.

Question:I tried adding a new camera to this sysyem and it says the resolution is too big. Any answers on how to makd this work?
Answer:My husband installed ours. I bought with 8 cameras. Wat we did was buy 100 ft of the same kind of connection (bought at Amazon, too) it came with. The manual tells what comes in box. But before you buy, try seller. They are good in replying and helping to trouble shoot, issue.

Question:Our house is already hard wired with ethernet. Can we use these existing wires to plug directly into the cameras?
