Yes,every camera has a power supply,so you need to plug the power supply into the camera to use.

Question:How good is the microphone

Question:How to configure hard drive? Can't format and not recoding.
Answer:It was not recording in the beginning with Wi-Fi only so I used the blue modem wire directly from the hard drive to the modem. The next day I unplugged the system and let it reboot and started recording. Also I put the Wi-Fi password as well to the system.
It looks good and use it in my restaurant.

Question:If one also has pre-existing cameras can they be used with this system as well?

Theoretically, camera supports ONVIF(below 2.4) can work with our system, but only in the wired way; that means, to connect the camera to our NVR system directly with network cable; refresh and auto add it in Video manage, it will work; if it doesn't work in the wired way, it is not compatible with our system.
