This camera has proven to be excellent. I mounted it under a second-floor roof overhang, providing it with a 270-degree view. Located at my weekend ranch house, I primarily intended to use it for surveillance against trespassers while I'm away in the city. It serves this purpose admirably, sending me email alerts and images upon detecting vehicles.

Surprisingly, it's also fantastic for wildlife observation. I've configured it to conduct a patrol, starting with a wide view that slowly pans across its entire field of view to observe the weather. Then, it gradually pans down for a closer look before zooming in tight and focusing on key spots for an extended period. Running and monitoring the patrol has become a part of my morning routine, and the possibilities seem limitless.

I've opted to keep it at itsBalanced" video setting to ensure smooth video feed on my limited bandwidth, despite a slight graininess. However, if needed, I can switch to HI-RES playback for sharper detail. With the largest SD card, it can hold recordings for almost a week.

The uploaded image shows a screenshot from a video clip capturing two Axis Deer fighting over a water trough, indicating the dry conditions this year. Despite being cropped tightly, the image remains relatively clear despite the deer being approximately 70 yards away.

Although the camera offers 5x optical zoom and the ability to zoom in further during playback, I do wish it had more optical zoom. Additionally, when manually panning, it sometimes moves too quickly and overshoots the intended target.

To cover areas beyond its range, I have a couple of inexpensive cameras installed on porches. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with this camera and may consider purchasing another for the opposite corner of the house.

Among the various video systems we've installed, this one stands out as the simplest and most effective. The setup and programming process is straightforward, and the video quality it delivers is exceptional. The motion sensors are highly sensitive, to the extent that even a rat darting across the yard from 15 feet away triggered them, capturing the moment on video.

These are great for blue irises, achieving good frame rate settings without consuming CPU, but they are different for things that need to be reconnected.

Note: I'm currently using a 12V 2A power supply for this single camera. I haven't felt the need for an expensive POE switch yet.

I wanted something that would simply work, require minimal setup, and seamlessly integrate with Home Assistant.

This camera exceeds expectations in terms of features compared to other brands, and the price is unbeatable, especially considering available discounts. Although I haven't mounted it yet, testing it was surprisingly easy.

The camera offers multiple setup through the built-in web interface, by downloading the app, by connecting to an NVR, or directly to Home Assistant, which is what I opted for. Home Assistant quickly identified the camera and provided full support for all its features. I left the camera plugged into my home network and completed the setup remotely while I was at work. Within minutes, I could view live footage of my cat sleeping in the bedroom. I'm definitely planning to purchase more of these cameras.

I'll explore the app's features at some point in the future.

Lisa provided excellent assistance when I encountered issues with camera loading. Thanks to her help, I was able to get everything set up smoothly. The cameras are now working great, and I'm really happy with OHWOAI!
